The Big Picture

We believe that in some of our most challenging communities lies some of our greatest potential.

Young people who grow up in these environments have usually had to develop great resilience and creativity - two key attributes for leadership. From our experience they are also usually more determined and ambitious than young people from more affluent communities. At Arrival Education we believe that the long-term future success of the UK will be predicated on the success of society to engage with these opinionated, ambitious, sparky characters and provide them with a relevant education that will help them be who they want to be and achieve what they want to achieve.

Unfortunately the current education system does not provide a relevant and genuine pathway to successful adulthood. The emphasis on assessment and grades does little to develop the attributes required for successful living. In a report conducted by Edge, 67% of adult respondants felt that school had not prepared them with the vital skills needed for successful living. This is clearly not the fault of teachers, students or parents and it is not a simple problem to solve. However, to create a society that works for everyone a new approach needs to be found. Through the programmes we design and deliver we are seeking to create real solutions to the education problem.
