Thursday 27th April - My GCSE Success
Last month we ran our 'My GCSE Success' workshop at Kingsford Community School, in partnership with Investec.
The day long workshop brought together 11 Investec volunteers with 24 Year 10s, to discuss the mindsets and actions necessary to succeed.
“The areas for development that we discussed with the students really resonated with me. There was a lot of self-reflection and involvement of all. The day allows you to question what our own goals are and focus on your own development which I think we sometimes forget.” Volunteer, Investec
Investec are one of our cornerstone partners, with this year marking our 10th year of working together, with our workshops continuing to make real impact for everyone involved.
“Our people were keen to volunteer for the ‘My GCSE Success’ workshop as they realise the value of helping students to embed positive mind-sets and behaviours around studying and revision. It was an excellent mini-coaching day and our volunteers left feeling like they had connected with the students and wanted to volunteer again. These types of volunteer opportunities are important to Investec as one of our core values is to make an unselfish contribution to society. When our people volunteer their time and skills with Arrival they are always positively impacted and feel proud to contribute to Investec’s support of the community. “ Abigail Brady, Corporate Responsibility
